How long or short is the text and is it too long or too short? How much does it agree or clash with your view of the world, and what you consider right and wrong? Familiarise yourself with the specific techniques the texts medium of production uses.
Is it commercial popularscholarly, journalistic, or some other form of writing, and does it meet expectations for this form of writing? Analyze the text as argument. How well does it address things that you, personally, care about and consider important in the world?
List and explain them. The principle behind making tables is to extract all of the relevant information from a text and place it in an easy to access document.
Word frequency turns out to be relatively easy to produce but once you have the counts, the analysis and interpretation may be a bit more challenging. Does it keep you at the edge of your seat, or put you to sleep?
